Believe it or not, but the Utes and Cougars square off on the hardwood Saturday night in the Marriott Center.

The excitement surrounding the game seems to have died down over the past several years because of BYU's recent dominance over the Utes.

Just how one sided has the rivalry been?

Utah's last win over BYU was January 27, 2009, when Luke Nevill scored 32 points to lead the Utes to a 94-88 overtime win.

When was the last time Utah beat BYU in Provo?

February 1, 2005, when the soon to be No. 1 NBA draft pick Andrew Bogut scored 20 points, grabbed nine boards and swatted five shots to lead the Utes to a 72-58 win.

To give you an idea of how long ago that was, BYU's head coach at the time was Steve Cleveland, while Ray Giacoletti was still at the helm for Utah.

While Utah once again is a major underdog going into this year's matchup, the Utes head into the contest with a 6-2 record and are just coming off a 21-point win over Boise State.

Can the Utes pull off the upset and come out of Provo with a win?

Yeah. Not likely. But...

Biggest upsets in sports history

That got me thinking, what are the biggest upsets in sports history?

We've all seen our fair share of David beating Goliath. Upsets happen every season, but the best thing about them? They occur when you least expect it.

For the fan with no ties to either team, we find ourselves rooting for the underdog, and when they pull out a victory, these are often some of the greatest moments in sports history.

Here are a few that came to mind:

Appalachian State knocks off No. 5 Michigan in the Big House

New York Giants defeat the previously undefeated New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI

Miracle on Ice
