SALT LAKE CITY — While most BYU fans are focused on the upcoming Notre Dame game, and justifiably so, Georgia Tech has nailed down the start time of its game against the Cougars.
The Yellow Jackets will host BYU at 1 p.m., but it doesn't appear the game's getting any national coverage.
The contest will be televised on the ACC's Regional Sports Networks and could possibly end up on BYUtv.
According to Provo's Daily Herald, "The ACC RSN package would have to be cleared by ROOT or Altitude probably for fans in Utah. That would mean that the game will be televised locally on ROOT Sports (Directv: 683, Dish Network: 414, Comcast: 52/693)."
Truth be told, depending on how the Notre Dame game goes, I'm not sure how many BYU fans will be tuning in.
Dodgeball Ninja
My mom always said, no matter what you decide to do, decide to be the best at it.
I've tried to live up to that, but if I ever had aspirations of being a dodge ball champion, I just lost out to a ninja.
This guy pulls off a "Matrix-like spin move" to avoid getting hit, then drills his opponent with a pin-point accurate throw, with some heat behind it.
Mom, I've moving on to something else. I don't stand a chance against a ninja.
Impressive dunk- no joke
We've seen just about everything in a dunk contest (that's probably why they aren't nearly as exciting as in years past and why it is all about gimmicks and tricks with current contestants), but every once in a while a basketball player pulls something out we've likely never seen before.
On the court steps Missouri guard Keion Bell, who takes an old classic (jumping over people) and takes it to new heights.
During Missouri's Mizzou Madness dunk contest Bell leaps over six people before slamming home the ball.
Impressive. But can he do it blindfolded?

Live TV, on the sideline of a football field, comes with inherent risks.
Like a football to the face.
I'm not kidding.
NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport was discussing the Sunday night matchup between the Packers and Texans when, out of nowhere, a football smacks him in the face.
He took it on the kisser and kept going. No, he didn't avoid talking about it. He mentioned the obvious and finished his report.
No harm, no foul.
Monday Night magic
At a recent Monday Night Football game in Seattle the ESPN crew was treated to more than just a wacky football game.
They also witnessed an impromptu magic show.
Associate Producer Rob Adamski struck up a conversation with magician James David on their way to Seattle. David, a life-long Packers fan, offered to treat the crew to a magic show, and Adamski took him up on his offer.
David picked on co-host Jon Gruden, who coached at Green Bay for several years, to think of a specific poker card (Ace of Hearts).
Then he had Gruden's co-host Mike Tirico, think of a specific suit (hearts).
Then magically, David has Gruden pull the one upside down card out of the deck and lo and behold it's the Ace of Hearts.
Best line comes from Gruden: "He might be able to solve the Cowboys offensive problems."
Typical Gruden. But he does have a point.
Silver lining
So, it wasn't a great weekend for the BYU Cougars or the UTah Utes on the gridiron (on the flip side, the Utah State Aggies looked fantastic), but truth be told there was a silver lining in both losses.
It was probably hard to come away from either game with a positive outlook (understandable considering the level of expectation is justifiably high nowadays), but folks there were some bright spots.
So, BYU fans, after wiping your eyes with those black out towels take a look at some of these great plays from your Cougars; just don't look at the final score.
Ute fans, you battled, had moments of brilliance, but came up a little short. Just know the growing pains will pay off... someday.
Utes go Gangnam Style
It's all the rage right now so it is surprise to see a wide variety of parodies of Psy's sensational hit "Gangnam Style."
And the University of Utah Athletic Department is the latest to use the catchy tune in its promotional efforts.
Athletes from baseball, basketball, volleyball and gymnastics get jiggy with it. Even AD Chris Hill makes a guest appearance.
But questionably absent from the video is the football team... and badminton team.
