MIAMI (AP) — The Miami Marlins have canceled Sunday's home game against the Atlanta Braves following the death of pitcher Jose Fernandez.

The Marlins issued a statement Sunday morning saying the organization is "devastated by the tragic loss of Jose Fernandez."

At the end of the release, the Marlins announced the game against the Braves has been canceled.

Fernandez, the Marlins 24-year-old ace right-hander, was killed in a boating accident early Sunday morning.
