BALTIMORE (AP) — Mookie Betts has hit a career-high three home runs for the Boston Red Sox against the Baltimore Orioles.

Betts homered leading off the game on Tuesday night. He added a three-run drive in the second inning and a bases-empty homer in the seventh.

The five RBIs tie a career high, set earlier this season.

Betts has 12 home runs, second-best on the team behind David Ortiz.

It's the first time a Boston player has hit three home runs in a game since Will Middlebrooks on April 7, 2013.
