LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dodgers acquired minor league outfielder Justin Ruggiano and cash considerations from Seattle on Monday night for a player to be named later.

Ruggiano batted .296 with 10 home runs and 29 RBIs in 49 games with the Mariners' Triple-A Tacoma affiliate this season. Ruggiano appeared in 36 games with Seattle, hitting .214 with two homers and three RBIs.

The 33-year-old outfielder has played parts of seven seasons in the big leagues with Tampa Bay, Miami, the Cubs and Mariners, playing all three outfield positions.

Ruggiano was originally selected by the Dodgers in the 25th round of the 2004 first-year player draft.
