CHICAGO (AP) — The Miami Marlins activated 1B Michael Morse from the 15-day disabled list making him available to come off the bench in Sunday's game against the Chicago Cubs, though he wasn't in the starting lineup.

Morse joined the team in Chicago following a 12-game rehab stint. During his rehab assignment, Morse hit .263.

He is hitting .211 with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs in 37 games. Morse went on the DL on May 26 for a finger sprain, and also recovered from a tweaked back suffered during his rehab stint.
