LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hyun-Jin Ryu has pitched three innings of a simulated game on the mound at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers say Ryu used all of his pitches Wednesday at his normal velocity, and had no problems with his left shoulder during the 45-pitch session. The 14-game winner faced several teammates, including Matt Kemp, Yasiel Puig, Andre Ethier, Carl Crawford, Dee Gordon and Scott Van Slyke.

Ryu will be examined by a doctor on Thursday to find out how his shoulder responded. He hasn't pitched since leaving a game after one inning on Sept. 12 because of shoulder irritation.

The Dodgers open the NL Division Series on Friday at home against St. Louis. Clayton Kershaw will pitch Game 1 for the Dodgers against Adam Wainwright of the Cardinals.
