RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — Saudi authorities say they have arrested three brothers in connection with last month's deadly attack on a Shiite mosque in neighboring Kuwait.

The official Saudi Press Agency on Tuesday quoted the Interior Ministry as saying that one of the men was arrested in Kuwait and handed over to the kingdom.

Another was detained in the western Saudi city of Taif, and a third was apprehended following a shootout that wounded two members of the Saudi security forces near the Kuwaiti border.

The men were not identified. The report says a fourth brother is a member of the Islamic State militant group in Syria.

In late June, a Saudi man blew himself up inside the Kuwait City mosque, killing 27 worshippers and wounding more than 200. The IS group claimed responsibility.
