THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — The team investigating last year's crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 in eastern Ukraine has prepared a draft final report and given it to countries involved in the probe for their comments.
The Dutch Safety Board announced Wednesday it made the draft report available on June 2 to representatives of Malaysia, Ukraine, the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Australia and the Netherlands. It did not publicize details of the confidential draft.
Flight MH17, from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was downed July 17 killing all 298 people on board.
The Safety Board said last year that the Boeing 777 was likely brought down by "multiple high-energy objects," a finding experts said likely indicated a missile strike.
Nations have 60 days to send comments. The final report is expected in October.
