The retired adjutant general of the Utah National Guard has new troops to command for the next few weeks, and he didn't rule out a bid to replace his former boss in the attorney general's office.

3-D printer guns at center of House vote to extend screening law

House lawmakers on Tuesday are expected to approve a 10-year extension of a federal law requiring that all guns be detectable by metal screening machines. It has become an issue with the advent of 3-D printers, which the ATF recently said its tests showed are capable of producing lethal firearms entirely made of plastic.
