A 5-year-old Northern California boy who has battled leukemia for years became a darling of social media and attracted thousands of fans at home and around the country _ including the president _ as he took on the persona of his favorite superhero.

A 5-year-old leukemia patient's wish to be Batkid was fulfilled Friday in San Francisco with help from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the city.
