HELPER, Utah (AP) — The Humane Society of Utah is offering a $5,000 reward for information about the fatal shooting of a dog in Helper.
Police say they're also investigating the incident after a man found his dog had been fatally shot through the heart with a pellet gun late last week.
The dog was in the home's enclosed backyard.
The Humane Society says it will give $5,000 to a tipster whose information leads to an arrest and conviction.
Helper is about 110 miles southeast of Salt Lake City.
