BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A Caldwell man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for making child pornography and sexually abusing a minor.
The Idaho Statesman reports (https://goo.gl/t8cEzz ) that District Judge Juneal Kerrick sentenced 38-year-old Jason Simon Monday on nine felony charges.
Authorities say Simon and Sarah Joy Dunn left Idaho with three children last summer after they realized detectives were looking for Simon in connection with a child pornography investigation. They were all found near Vail, Colorado, in June.
Caldwell Police say he was in possession of multiple images of child porn, including several photos and videos showing an 8-year-old girl that were manufactured by Simon.
