HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a mural painter fell four stories to his death at a high-rise condominium under construction in South Florida.
The Sun Sentinel (https://goo.gl/M7Dnka) reports that scaffolding collapsed Monday afternoon at the Hyde Resort & Residences in Hollywood.
Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue Division Chief Lori Williams says two other men also fell in the accident, but their safety harnesses prevented fatal injuries.
Hollywood Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Christopher Del Campo says they're trying to determine if there was a problem with a wire or mechanical difficulties with the scaffold.
Authorities weren't immediately naming the deceased man or his colleagues.
Police say the mural was designed by Douglas Hoekzema, also known as Hoxxoh.
Local and federal officials are investigating.
