JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — A group of wolves that have been dining on beef recently are set to be killed because of the conflicts with livestock.
The Jackson Hole News and Guide reports (http://bit.ly/2bzb7tK ) that U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service officials have authorized the removal of four wolves from a pack that has been seen on private land south of Grand Teton National Park.
Wildlife officials say in two attacks the wolves have killed two adult cows and injured four calves over the past two weeks.
Officials linked these particular wolves to the attacks through DPS collar data collected by Grand Teton National Park. The wolves will be removed via land traps from a pack that had 14 members at the end of 2015.
