MONACA, Pa. (AP) — The Latest on a George man jailed on charges of bringing a stolen gun, ammunition into a Pennsylvania movie theater (all times local):

5:20 p.m.

The father of a Covington, Georgia, man jailed on charges of bringing a stolen gun and ammunition into a Pennsylvania movie theater says his son has been in and out trouble and doesn't always make the right decisions.

Kyle Gossett said Thursday it was almost a relief when he learned 21-year-old William Gossett had been arrested Saturday because it meant he was alive.

He says his son was violent at home as a teenager and left high school without finishing after getting in trouble for fighting.

Authorities say William Gossett was stopped by police after walking into a theater outside Pittsburgh with a large bag and military fatigues.

A prosecutor says he is investigating the possibility that William Gossett may have intended to shoot up the movie house.

No attorney is listed for Gossett in court records.

Federal authorities also are investigating.

A prosecutor says there's a "real possibility" a Georgia man jailed on charges he brought a stolen gun and ammunition into a Pennsylvania movie theater planned to shoot it up.

Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier says 21-year-old William Gossett of Covington, Georgia, was arrested Saturday at the Cinemark Theater in Center Township, about 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.

Township police say they stopped Gossett after he walked into the theater with a large bag and wearing long-sleeved military fatigues despite temperatures in the 90s. Police say the handgun in the bag was stolen in Ohio.

Gossett doesn't have an attorney listed in court records. He's charged only with receiving stolen property and having an unlicensed gun.

Federal authorities confirm they're also investigating.
