LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified an 87-year-old Las Vegas man who police say may have had a medical episode before being dragged him to his death by a vehicle in the parking lot of a northwest-area apartment complex.

The Clark County coroner said Tuesday that an autopsy was scheduled and a cause of death for Gene A. Badal is pending.

Police say Badal tried to get out of his 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan as he was backing the vehicle out of a garage a little after 8 a.m. Monday.

Police say his clothing got caught before he was pinned against a raised parking lot median.
