COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A former Columbus City Schools principal implicated in a district data scrubbing scandal has agreed to never try to re-obtain her state educator's licenses.
The Columbus Dispatch reported (http://bit.ly/25j2UjW ) Wednesday that former Whetstone High School Principal Amy Dennis signed an agreement with state education officials late last month.
Dennis' five-year principal license, teaching license and handicapped teaching license won't be reissued under the agreement and she won't try to get them back.
Dennis couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
The newspaper says Dennis deleted about 6,700 student absences in the 2010-11 and 2011-12 school years to remove poor proficiency test scores and improve the school's state school report cards. She resigned in October 2013.
Five other administrators implicated in the scandal are trying to keep their licenses.
