HOLLADAY, Utah (AP) — Police say a man was shot and killed at a party in a Holladay apartment.
KUTV of Salt Lake City reports (http://bit.ly/1VeC6Pd) that Unified police say 46-year-old Darrin Jackson was fatally wounded Saturday following an altercation.
Unified police Lt. Lex Bell says police were dispatched around 2:30 a.m. to respond to a report of shots fired at an apartment.
According to witnesses, a fight broke out after a group approached a party at the apartment.
A male suspect pulled out a gun and fired multiple times.
Jackson was hit and pronounced dead at the scene.
Bell says 26-year-old Jonathan Jackson was shot in the arm.
He is hospitalized in fair condition.
Bell did not say if the victims were related.
Police are searching for the suspect, who fled the scene.
