WASHINGTON (AP) — Guests at a hotel in Washington's Georgetown neighborhood were evacuated for more than two hours because of a bomb threat.
In a statement, Marriott says authorities gave the all clear at the Marriott Washington Georgetown about 9:30 a.m. Thursday. District of Columbia police spokeswoman Alice Kim confirms the situation has been cleared and no hazardous materials were found.
Marriott says authorities advised guests to evacuate the 470-room hotel after the threat was called in. Guests were moved to a sister property nearby until they got the all-clear.
The street where the hotel is located was temporary closed, but has since reopened.
