LEBANON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in Ohio say they have arrested a boy after recent bomb threats caused Lebanon (LEHB'-uh-nuhn) schools to cancel classes and evening activities.
Police say the boy has been taken to a juvenile detention center on a charge of inducing panic. Police say they are still investigating a series of threats this week and didn't release any other information.
There were two bomb threats made Wednesday, one at the Lebanon High School and one at Lebanon Junior High. The high school was cleared temporarily Monday and Tuesday to allow police searches because of threats.
Prosecutor David Fornshell wrote to Warren County parents Tuesday urging them to warn students that those caught making threats will be punished and that his office will seek a minimum 90-day jail sentence.
