HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Authorities say a 15-year-old Hammond High Magnet School student has been arrested for writing a threat on a desk.

Tangipahoa (tan-jih-puh-HOH') Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto tells The Daily Star (http://bit.ly/1rnfVKM) the girl was taken into custody Thursday afternoon.

She says the girl was taken to the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.

Panepinto says the threat made reference to a future event.

Investigators did not release the nature of the threat.
