MENIFEE, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a school bus with 19 high school students aboard and a car have collided in Riverside County, sending four people to the hospital.

County fire officials say the crash occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Wednesday at an intersection in Menifee in the southwestern area of the county.

Authorities say three of those hurt were in the car — one with serious injuries, one with moderate injuries and one with minor injuries.

Just one of the 19 students who were examined was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

The bus is from the Perris Union High School District.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
