CANYON COUNTY, Idaho (AP) — Idaho State Police say a father and toddler died in a car crash north of Marsing.

Police say the collision happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday on Idaho State Highway 55 when a man driving a pickup was heading north and crossed the center line.

Police say the man then hit head-on a car driving south.

Investigators say a mother, father, 2-year-old and infant were in the car. Police say the father and 2-year-old died at the scene. The other three people involved were reportedly taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Police are investigating and say fog could have been a factor.
