PETAL, Miss. (AP) — A national educators' group has named Petal Elementary School principal Kelli Brown among America's best.
She was among 59 administrators recently named 2015 National Distinguished Principals by the National Association of Elementary School Principals.
Fourth-grader Spencer Farris tells the Hattiesburg American (http://hatne.ws/1OwO69B ) that Brown makes students feel cared-for, by going into classrooms to see how they're doing.
Brown says she loves being in the classrooms and "seeing the wonderful things our teachers are doing to help students."
