BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) — Police investigating a robbery and beating that left a 20-year-old Binghamton University student in critical condition are asking for public assistance.
The Binghamton Police Department says the student was struck in the head and robbed at a bar in the early morning hours of Nov. 15. The student, who was not identified, remains hospitalized in critical condition and unconscious.
Police Chief Joseph Zikuski said in a statement released Thursday that anyone with information is encouraged to contact the department.
The victim's family has posted a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the crime, and Binghamton police say they will match that award.
