SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The two men who died after a pickup truck they were riding in collided with a school bus near Payson have been identified.

Payson police Lt. Bill Wright says 22-year-old Christopher Jay Cook of Payson and 18-year-old Makia Love Boyd of Lehi both died in Tuesday's head-on crash. Two other passengers in the truck and the driver of the school bus sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital.

No students were on the bus during the crash. The Nebo School District bus driver, 49-year-old Lorrie Hone, had been on her way to pick up students when it happened.

Police continue to investigate what caused the crash near the Spanish Fork and Payson border.
