Pedestrian hit by car, critically hurt in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police in Las Vegas say a 41-year-old man remains in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle.

Authorities say the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday on Bonanza Road near Wardelle Street.

According to witnesses, a Chrysler Pacifica was traveling westbound on Bonanza when Jason Miller, who was pushing a shopping cart, suddenly darted into a crosswalk.

Miller was struck by the car.

Police say the 29-year-old male driver and his 35-year-old passenger stopped.

Miller was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

There were no other injuries.

The collision remains under investigation.
