SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities say a man fired 19 shots at a Taylorsville apartment in July where a one-year-old girl was sleeping.

The Deseret News (http://bit.ly/1WtD0qk ) reports the child escaped injury because her crib sat against a brick wall underneath the window.

The 19 shots fired into the child's room are among 29 total that Tyrel Maleek Foreman is charged with firing at the apartment according to filings by the Salt Lake County District Attorney's office.

Police say the shooting was a case of mistaken identity and the family that had moved into the apartment a few months before weren't being targeted.

19-year-old Foreman from West Jordan who goes by the name "Lucky-Loc" faces 29 second-degree felonies for discharging a firearm and potential gang-enhancement penalties.

Court records don't list an attorney representing Foreman.
