CEDAR FORT, Utah (AP) — Police say a teenager has been hospitalized with serious injuries after he was thrown from a horse in Utah County.
Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon says the 19-year-old was riding at the Cedar Fort Rodeo Arena on Sunday afternoon when the teen was thrown from his horse and lost consciousness for a few minutes.
Cannon says the young man had trouble breathing but emergency medical workers were able to stabilize him. Cannon says the teen was talking and moving as he was transported to a hospital in Provo.
Cannon told The Daily Herald of Provo (http://bit.ly/1EtbPz3 ) that the young man's injuries are serious but do not appear to be life-threatening.
The teen's name has not been released.
