BESSEMER CITY, N.C. (AP) — The athletics director at Bessemer City High School has been charged with having sexual contact with a student.
Gaston County police told local media outlets that 34-year-old Brandon Samuel Scott of Gastonia was arrested Monday and charged with taking indecent liberties with a student. It was not clear if he has an attorney to comment on the charge.
Police say the charge stems from an alleged incident last fall.
The Gaston County School District asked police to investigate the allegation earlier this month. Scott was suspended during the investigation. He has been with the school since 2011.
