WASHINGTON (AP) — Art by District of Columbia schoolchildren is set to go on display at the U.S. Education Department headquarters.
The exhibit will open Wednesday. The event will feature music and dance performances and a screening of a film project.
The department has been featuring student art for the past dozen years. It's meant to give students a chance to show their work and emphasize the importance of arts education.
The art from city public school students will remain on display until April.
