KAPOLEI, Hawaii (AP) — The University of Hawaii says its West Oahu campus is partnering with Tokai University.

The partnership announced Tuesday will include joint delivery of courses and programs, collaboration in research and the opportunity for students to take credit courses at both campuses.

Hawaii Tokai International College is currently located in Honolulu but will be moving to a newly constructed campus next to UH West Oahu in April. Hawaii Tokai International College was established in 1992 as an American two-year liberal arts college.

UH West Oahu Chancellor Rockne Freitas says the agreement provides UH students with international learning opportunities such as language instruction and study abroad programs in Japan, Korea and China. Freitas says Tokai students will benefit from the public university's dedication to Native Hawaiian values and ways of learning.
