LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — The University of Louisiana at Lafayette has named Gwen Fontenot as the interim dean of its B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration.

Fontenot replaces Joby John, who resigned in December from the leadership role. John is now on the business college's faculty, but is on a sabbatical until the fall semester.

Fontenot, an associate professor of marketing, was head of the university's marketing and hospitality department and the college's internship director from August 2006 until May 2013. Since August 2014, she's been director of the university's study abroad program.
