NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say one person was taken to the hospital and one was treated on the scene after a fire in a North Las Vegas senior apartment complex.
Firefighters say they responded a little after 4 p.m. Sunday to a complex on Yale Street and found heavy smoke in one of the apartments.
Officials say a man and a woman inside the home at the time of the fire were able to get out by themselves. The woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition, while the man was treated and released at the scene.
No other people were injured.
North Las Vegas officials say there's about $12,000 in damage to the apartment.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
