PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police in Portland say three young men arrested in connection with a gang-related shooting outside an alternative Portland high school have now been accused of multiple crimes including attempted murder.
Four young people were injured in the Dec. 12 shooting near Rosemary Anderson High School. One was grazed by a bullet. The Oregonian reports that the other three have been released from a hospital.
Police said Monday that a 16-year-old boy and two men initially arrested on probation violations are now accused by gang detectives of the more serious offenses. Sgt. Pete Simpson says all three are scheduled for court appearances Tuesday in Circuit Court.
Simpson says 18-year-old Marquel Dugas, 22-year-old Lonzo Murphy and the juvenile are accused of counts including attempted murder and assault.
