NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Former President Jimmy Carter is delivering an address next week at Yale University.
The university in New Haven says Carter is speaking Tuesday at the invitation of Ernesto Zedillo, a former president of Mexico who directs the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization.
Carter is expected to discuss his latest book, "A Call to Action: Women, Religion, Violence and Power," which was published earlier this year.
Carter served as president from 1977 to 1981. In 1982, he founded the Carter Center, a nonprofit public policy center in Atlanta that works to resolve conflicts and protect human rights. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 and has written 28 books.
