LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a woman is hospitalized with stab wounds and a man is in custody after initially refusing to leave a downtown Las Vegas home following an apparent domestic dispute.
Las Vegas police Officer Laura Meltzer says the woman sought help at a neighbor's home and police were called about noon Friday to a house on Santa Paula Drive where the man initially refused to come outside.
The woman was taken to University Medical Center for treatment of injuries that Meltzer says didn't appear to be life-threatening.
Her alleged assailant remained inside the house until shortly after 3 p.m.
His name wasn't immediately made public.
The relationship between the man and woman wasn't immediately clear, but Meltzer says it appears the attack came during a domestic argument.
