BOSTON (AP) — A jury in the federal trial of a friend of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (joh-HAHR' tsahr-NEYE'-ehv) has completed a second full day of deliberations without reaching a verdict.

Robel Phillipos is charged with lying to the FBI about being in Tsarnaev's dorm room three days after the bombing, when two other friends removed a backpack containing fireworks and other potential evidence.

Phillipos' lawyers say he had smoked marijuana heavily that day and couldn't clearly remember what he did when questioned by the FBI.

The jury began weighing the case Tuesday afternoon and deliberated all day Wednesday and Thursday. Deliberations are expected to resume Friday.

Three people were killed and more than 260 were injured when two bombs exploded near the marathon finish line on April 15, 2013.
