ONTARIO, Ore. (AP) — The Malheur County sheriff's office says two people have been found dead in a home in the eastern Oregon community of Ontario.

KTVB-TV reports (http://is.gd/I2BGAq) that Sheriff Brian Wolfe said two deputies found the bodies in a bedroom late Tuesday afternoon after a neighbor asked for a welfare check at the home.

Undersheriff Travis Johnson says the department is investigating the case as a possible murder-suicide.

An Oregon State Police Crime Lab unit has been dispatched to the home from Pendleton, Oregon. Officials were waiting on a search warrant before they entered the home.

Additional details were not immediately available.
