LAS VEGAS (AP) — A judge ordered a 40-year-old man released from jail while prosecutors prepare charges stemming from the crash of a pickup truck through the glass doors of the Stratosphere casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1uFsuh7 ) that Justice of the Peace Conrad Hafen released Ryan Brown without bail on Monday, with an Oct. 15 court date.
Police say Brown drove on a sidewalk past pedestrians and argued with at least one man near the valet area last Wednesday before accelerating through the front doors of the casino.
No one was hurt.
Police say Brown admitted using drugs for several days, and more than 1 gram of crack was found in the vehicle ashtray.
Police say Brown told officers he wanted to jump off the Stratosphere tower.
