SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah State Fair officials say the 10-day annual fair that wrapped up Sunday was successful.
Fair director Michael Steele told KSL-TV (http://bit.ly/1phcInk ) that vendors at the show did well and officials are working to set up future fairs.
Steele did not have final attendance and revenue numbers but says those will be ready Thursday to present to state lawmakers.
Utah lawmakers have been debating what to do about the fair after an audit released earlier this year found that the event draws fewer state residents and costs more than comparable events in other states.
