YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — Yellowstone National Park is looking for volunteers to help with two projects in Lamar Valley on Sept. 27, which is National Public Lands Day.

The two projects are trailhead restoration work at the Lamar River Trailhead and fence construction at the historic Lamar Buffalo Ranch.

The National Park Service says the work will be strenuous and may be done in variable weather conditions.

It is looking for 30 volunteers to register by this coming Saturday.

Those who participate will receive a coupon good for a one-time free entrance to the federal public lands day area of their choice.
