DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — More than 3,000 University of New Hampshire freshmen are moving into their dorms this weekend, the school's largest incoming class ever.
People have been given a heads-up. Mark Rubinstein, the vice president for student and academic services, is encouraging those driving in Durham on Saturday and throughout the rest of the holiday weekend to try to make adjustments to their parking plans.
The UNH Police Department and the University Transportation Services had posted signs before the start of the weekend letting drivers know of parking lots surrounding campus that were closed as of Friday afternoon.
Rubinstein advised drivers that there may be last-minute changes that will be announced by police will be on site supervising parking and traffic.
