COLLEGE PARK, Ga. (AP) — College Park police say they're searching for a man accused of shooting at an officer during a chase.
Deputy Chief Ferman Williford tells WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/1rp4ocv ) an officer was chasing a theft suspect Thursday evening when he shot at the officer and continued running. Williford says the officer returned fire.
Williford says the officer wasn't hurt, but a bystander may have suffered a leg wound.
Williford says the suspect is armed and dangerous.
He is described as black with a medium brown complexion, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a slim build.
