Police identify man, 70, found dead in Millcreek

MILLCREEK, Utah (AP) — Authorities have identified a 70-year-old man found dead in a Millcreek home Friday and his 28-year-old son suspected in his death.

The Unified Police Department says Dennis Robbins was found dead with apparent blunt force trauma early Friday.

His 28-year-old son, Christopher Robbins, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of murder.

Salt Lake County Sheriff Jim Winder says authorities responded early Friday after reports of a dispute at the home near 4400 South and Matthews Way.

A bomb squad inspected the home Friday morning after police were told about possible explosives in the house.

Inspectors found nothing Friday afternoon and allowed homicide detectives to return to the home.
