Montana State foundation hires new president

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Montana State University Alumni Foundation has hired Christopher D. Murray as its new president and CEO.

Murray is currently vice president for University Advancement at the University of Idaho.

Murray, who was selected following a nationwide search, will begin his duties in Montana on Sept. 2.

Murray comes to the MSU Alumni Foundation with more than 30 years of experience managing and leading fundraising efforts at nonprofits and universities.

At the University of Idaho, his duties included planning and managing the launch of a $225 million capital campaign.
