CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture says rural business enterprise grants are available in Nevada to nonprofits, economic development authorities, public bodies and federally recognized tribes.
An estimated $82,000 is available and applications must be submitted by June 30.
The purpose of the grant program is to support the creation and growth of sustainable rural business opportunities and jobs.
Individual businesses are not eligible.
Because funds are limited, the USDA suggests applications seek no more than $40,000.
Funding can be used for such things as business planning, feasibility analysis and technical assistance, infrastructure, equipment and revolving loan funds for startup and working capital needs.
