STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Twelve African entrepreneurs are visiting Oklahoma State University to learn about doing business in the United States as part of an educational exchange program at the Stillwater school.
The group arrived on campus May 1 from Kenya, South Africa and Uganda to participate in the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs grant project.
During their stay in Oklahoma, they will participate in an orientation to learn about U.S. history and culture, technology and social media, business development and customer service.
Each Fellow will also be paired with businesses, organizations, nonprofits, government agencies and educational centers around the state for a three-week internship.
At the end of their fellowships, participants travel to Washington, D.C., in June to take part in a Professional Fellows Congress.
