OGDEN — Thanksgiving is a week away and United Way of Northern Utah is considerably short on what they need to feed local families in need. In fact, the United Way is about 1,800 turkey's short.

United Way director Robert Hunter believes the numbers are low because the holiday is so early this year. Hunter said the United Way will be accepting turkey donations, along with ham, chicken and cash until Sunday.

The following are three locations where you can make a donation:

  • The Quality Consignments store at the Standard-Examiner, 332 Standard Way, in the Business Depot of Ogden.
  • The Joyce Hansen Hall Food Bank, 2504 "F" St., Ogden.
  • United Way, 2955 Harrison Blvd., Ogden at the north door.
